Securly Silhouettes in Classroom Check That Student Signed In With Correct Email Account Click the time or wifi icon in the bottom right of the Chromebook display to bring up the menu. Hover your mouse over their profile icon to the left of the sign out icon and their email address will display. Send discipline referral to Assistant Principal if students are misusing another student's account. Check for Updates and Restart the Student's Chromebook. Click the time or wifi icon in the bottom right of the Chromebook display to bring up the menu. Click the Settings gear. Click About Chrome OS. Click Check for Updates If updates are available, let the Device Update; then click Restart to Update from the TIme/Wifi Menu. If no updates are available, Shut Down the Chromebook Turn Chromebook back on and make sure the student signs in with her school email address assigned to your classroom. Proceed with Option 3 below. Check that the Securly Classroom Extension is Installed and on version 1.9.01 (or higher) Click the Puzzle Icon in their browser, choose the three dot icon next to Securly Classroom and click 'Manage Extensions'. The version listed should read 1.9.1. If the extension is missing from the Chromebook, please note the serial number from the back with a ticket and/or send the student to the technology office. The device either needs to be enrolled or moved OU by IT or updated and restarted by the student (Step 1). If the extension is grey (as shown below) or has a red exclaimation, please submit a Foundation Academy Help Desk ticket indicating so and include the serial number from the bottom of the device. The device is not registered appropriately in Securly's Device Console. Issue Persists? IT to Reset Student Device Profile If you tried steps 1-3 above and the issue persists, please send a ticket with the device S/N (Serial Number) listed on the bottom of the device. The IT team can remotely remove the student profile from the device, forcing the device to recreate the student profile.
